Cloud Canyon Expeditions offers women's wilderness hiking trips (backpacking retreats) in the spectacular Escalante River canyon country of southern Utah: Three women backpackers against a stormy sky -- on the slickrock in Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument
CLOUD CANYON EXPEDITIONS
Wilderness Retreats for Women
Utah Trip Photographs -- Some of our participants

Cloud Canyon participants range in age from late teens to seventy. They come from all over the country, from Wisconsin to Texas, Virginia to Alaska. They are a diverse group of women: single, married, in partnership; some come alone, some come with a friend or sister or in a mother/daughter pair. Some have young children at home, some are retired grandmothers. This diversity of experience adds immeasurably to the joy of our trips. As we hear each others' stories and support each others' adventures, we realize how truly we are sisters together. The qualities our participants do have in common are a spirit of adventure, a longing to be in nature, and great joy in the company of other women.

Gail

Gail, at 70, is our most senior hiker, so far. She ran circles around the rest of us.

Jennifer (from Washington) did yoga every day.
