Once again, Cloud Canyon Expeditions Wilderness Retreats for Women is planning a stock-supported wilderness retreat!

We will hike into one of our favorite campsites in the Escalante Canyons region, with the llamas carrying in the heavy items like tents, sleeping bags and pads, food and cooking gear. We will carry day packs, with water and lunch and the few other items we will need for the hike in. The llamas will carry the gear out again on the last day.

Even though we will have stock support, the retreat will still be "backpacking style". We will use the same equipment list and group gear, keeping our impact to a minimum. Our days will be very similar to backpacking days, except that we won't be moving our camp and won't be carrying heavy loads. We will still hike, exploring the surrounding slickrock country and the deep creek canyons. In addition to hiking, our days will include meditation (including guided meditation and instruction), silent times, council circles, friendship, laughter and sharing, creativity, swimming, time to be alone, and the opportunity for a 24-hour solo.
